To fill those gaps in education in Bridgeport, three veteran educators founded The Bridge Academy —three former educators at Harding High School. And today, two of those original founders, Tim Dutton (Executive Director) and Rachel Allison (Principal), are still at the helm of the school.

What Happens After You Apply?
Once you submit an application, your child is entered in a lottery. And if seat holders can attend, they’ll belong to The Bridge Academy until they graduate — or drop out.

Aline Doss (Mrs. Doss)
Mrs. Doss was with us as the Dean of Students from 1997-2011 and helped form the tone and community values that we cite as a school.
Chris Moffat
A founding teacher and veteran math educator, Chris Moffat worked at The Bridge Academy for 20 years, when he left for health reasons in 2021.
